Patrick Prashad won the El Dorado Rum Stableford Golf tournament played Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Club.
Prashad, who won was out of competition for a few weeks, returned with a bang to record 37 points under perfect conditions at the Lusignan Course.
This was Prashad’s third win for the year following victories in the DeSinco Trading and Vish Trading-sponsored tournaments.
Second position went to Ronald Bulkan who edged out Eusau Shamsudeen on a countback after both golfers ended on 35 points.
Bulkan also won the prize for Closest to the Pin in a very competitive tournament.
The tournament was sponsored by Demerara Distillers Ltd. (DDL) through its El Dorado Rum brand, the official Rum for Carifesta X.
DDL’s Rum and Spirits Brand Manager Maria Munroe presented the prizes at the end of the tournament.
Meanwhile, preparations are going apace for the Greensome Tournament and fund-raising Bar-B-Que event set for Sunday at the LGC.
The event was originally scheduled for August 3 but was postponed due to rainy weather earlier this month.
