A Mahaicony man was taken for surgery after he accidentally shot himself on his farm early yesterday morning.
The man Ashford Jacobs, 38, of Moraikobai, Mahaicony River sustained the wound in his abdomen.
His relatives said that the man was targeting agoutis that would venture onto his farm damaging his plants and so he took his gun and proceeded to shoot the animals. He accidentally shot himself instead. He was rushed to the Mahaicony hospital but then transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital and taken for surgery.
