Monty Lynch to lead English team against MCYS

– Dr. Anthony, Keith Booker to meet teams

The visiting English cricket team led by former Guyana wicket-keeper Monty Lynch will today take on a Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport cricket team in a friendly limited overs encounter at the Carifesta Sports Complex Ground.

The English team comprises a number of players from the English leagues and the 40-overs-a-side game will commence at approximately 10am.
According to a release, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport (MCYS) Dr. Frank Anthony and Permanent Secretary, Keith Booker, are expected to address the teams prior to the start of the match.
Trophies donated by the MCYS will be at stake for the winning team, runner up team and the Man-of-the-Match.

The host team will be lead by Sherwin Vincent and will include vice-captain Mervin Vyphius, Roderick McAlmont, Patrice Stewart, Daniel Richmond, Clarence Williams, Mark Cumberbatch, Nikita Lawson, Hilbert Chester, Anso Barrington, A. Griffith, J. Mingo, K. Daziel, and Kenroy Joseph.
