Teen says bought two phones for $3,000

A 17-year-old boy who was allegedly found with two cell phones that are suspected to have been stolen was placed on bail in the sum of $15,000 when he appeared before Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Vicky Suffrein of Albouystown pleaded not guilty to the charge of unlawful possession.
It is alleged that on December 3, Suffrein was found with two cell phones believed to have been stolen or unlawfully obtained.

“I buy de two phones foh three thousand dollars from somebody,” Suffrein said. He stated that the phones were his and that the police arrested him at a cell phone store. “I ain’t do nothing and de police always locking me up but please your worship gimme a chance”.

The magistrate subsequently placed Suffrein on bail and transferred the case to Court Two for January 20.
