Toddler drinks kero

A toddler was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital after she ingested kerosene oil at her home.

21-month-old Trinicia Hinds of Sand Hills, Demerara River is reportedly in a stable condition in the Paediatric ward of the hospital.

The child’s mother June Barnes took her to the hospital on Saturday. According to reports reaching this newspaper, Hinds was playing in the kitchen around 6pm. She picked up a bottle which contained kerosene oil and drank from it. Her mother found her and rushed her to the hospital.
She was treated and then admitted to the children’s ward.
