Bolt cleared to race in Manchester says agent

RALEIGH, North Carolina (Reuters) – Triple Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt will compete in a 150 meters street race in Manchester, England, on Sunday after recovering from a car accident, his agent said yesterday.

A statement released by agent Ricky Simms quoted Bolt’s coach Glenn Mills as saying the Jamaican would train in spikes yesterday evening.

“(He) looks okay and will be fine for Manchester,” Mills said.

Bolt sustained minor injuries in a car accident in Jamaica in late April. He resumed training on Friday.
