Two gun-toting bandits robbed six men at Enterprise, East Coast Demerara (ECD) late Tuesday night after reportedly committing the same act on a family at their home.
Police, said in a press release that they are investigating the incident. At about 10:15pm on Tuesday at Gandhi Street, Enterprise, the release stated, the six men were attacked and robbed by the two men, who were armed with guns.Investigations revealed that Kioum Hamid of Non Pareil, ECD, along with Vicky Roopnarine, Amita Ramchand, Richard Albert, Chandra Kowlessar and Zaheer Mohamed of Enterprise were chatting on the roadway when the two men came up and held them at gunpoint. The men then took away six cellular phones, two bicycles, $12,000, personal jewellery and a motor cycle key and escaped.
It is suspected that the two armed men had earlier entered the home of Davendra Mangal at Enterprise Gardens where he and his family were held up and robbed of $66,000, the police added.
