Kevin Wishhart is now in critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) after being stabbed to the neck by his brother early yesterday morning.
The 50-year-old man and his sibling, Marlon, were at an outdoor party at Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara. Reports are that shortly after 12.15 am yesterday the brothers began arguing.
Marlon, according to reports, picked up a bottle smashed it and then stabbed Kevin to the neck.
Kevin, bleeding profusely from his would, was rushed to GPH where he underwent emergency surgery.
The injured man was admitted a patient to the hospital’s High Dependency Unit where he remained in a critical condition up to yesterday afternoon. Stabroek News understands that Marlon is in police custody.
