A total of eight teams will take part in the Kiddy Care Tourney which is slated to begin this Saturday.

Darshan Persaud received the equipment on behalf of Essequibo and thanked the sponsors and GSL for the initiative. He  remarked that the kind gesture would bring joy to the kids, especially during the holidays, and will serve to keep them active and be a part of the growing sport.

He also indicated that a number of persons are getting their teams together to ensure that a high level of softball cricket is displayed.

This is a golden opportunity for the youths of Essequibo to showcase their talent and gain early recognition in the sport, Persaud  added.
