The stage is set for what is expected to be an entertaining encounter when Dynas Bravado clashes with Hillfoot Strikers in the Guyana Softball and Windball Cricket Association (GS&WCA) 15/15 tapeball final today at the GS&WCA ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Both teams have named strong lineups for the encounter which starts at 3pm with Joshua Lakhan captaining the Bravado side while Lantee Hinds will skipper the Strikers.
Bravado line up reads: Lakhan (captain), Nigel Estraido, Harold Babolall, Marvin Vyphuis, Trevor Henry, Earl Gilkes, Trevor Benn, Alex Cully, Seon Sertima, Troy Benn, Rashleigh Rose and Skeete Gordon.
The Strikers line up will be chosen from: Hinds (captain), Avinash Singh, Avinash Mohabir (vice captain), Vickey Mohabir, Munesh Mohabir, Ganesh Ramlochand, Chris Lall, Ifill Deonarine, Toralf Tucker, Naresh Bhagwandin, Vickram Looknauth and Shawn Lall.
Strikers had beaten Finewood Marketing Inc. by 17 runs to book a place in the final while Bravado secured their spot after Neal and Massy forfeited their semi match.
The winners will receive a trophy, $15,000 dollars and medals while the second placed team will receive a trophy and $10,000.
Finewood Marketing Inc. will take home a trophy for securing the third place after Neal and Massy was debarred from playing in the third place playoff.
There will also be prizes for the player of the final, the player scoring the most runs, the bowler taking the most wickets, the best all-rounder and the most disciplined team.
The tournament which started in June attracted 36 teams.
