Scottsburg United will clash with Rose Hall Town Pepsi in the final of the Berbice Cricket Board/Spready’s Bakery Under-19 limited overs competition today at Rose Hall Town ground from 9.30am
In the semi-final Scottsburg United defeated Port Mourant by 107 runs at the Port Mourant ground.
Scottsburg won the toss and batted first, posting 203 all out in 39 overs. Devon Hinds led the way with 38 while Mark Lionel, 28, and national U-19 all rounder Alex Amsterdam, 20, were also among the runs. Fast bowler, George Hughes spearheaded the Port Mourant attack to finish with 4–37 from eight overs.
The home team in reply crumbled to 94 all out in 28.1 overs.
Off-spinner, Amsterdam, bagged 4-16 and was supported by Akram Razack (3-23) while Bisham Persaud made a fighting 23 for Port Mourant.
