Berbice Football Association Tournament…Coca Cola Senior League resumes with four matches

The Mahaicony CDC and Skeldon Community Centre grounds will come alive this Sunday as another round of the Berbice Football Association (BFA) Coca Cola Senior League Football Tournament resumes with four matches.

Monedderlust, spearheaded by Anthio Wallace and the goal hungry Gladwin Johnson, who has seven goals, clash with the skilled Cougars FC, with the likes of Horace Roache and Kirth Bristol backed by custodian Ryan Kellowan in a battle of arch rivals which beings at 2pm at the Mahaicony ground.

Later, the showdown between Real Union and Mahaicony United unfolds at 4pm where RU will be spearheaded by the Fraser brothers (Delroy and Delwin) while Mahaicony United will feature players such as Sherwin Caesar, National U-15  players Sherwin Lewis and Newt Mahaica guarding the uprights.
Simultaneously, at 2:00pm at the Skeldon CDC ground N/A United and Strike Force United will collide while Scottsburg United go head to head with Rosignol United in the feature showdown.

Business School Championship

Rosignol United, Hearts of Oak and New Amsterdam United will square off against each other to decide who walks away with top honours in the Business School Football Championship after all qualified for the final round of the tourney.

The three teams will engage each other in a round robin playoff to which begins on tomorrowat the Scotts School ground.

Last Saturday, Rosignol United and Hearts of Oak easily eliminated their opponents, Corriverton Links and Mahaicony United respectively.

N/A United gained a 2 – 1 victory over arch rivals Monedderlust who contributed to one of N/A United goals when defender Jamal Johnson scored an own goal in the 34th minute.
Zionie Johnson pulled one back for Monedderlust the very next minute then the other goal for NAU was the decider, scored by Devon James in the 43rd minute.
