ISKF hosts national camp

The International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) held its national camp last weekend at YMCA, Thomas Lands.

Twenty-six karatekas were invited to take part in the camp which the ISKF is hoping to resuscitate  as an annual event.

The training was conducted by Sensei Amir Khouri with the assistance of Natalie Gibson, Althia King, Maria Wilkinson and Mark Phang.

There was intense training over the two days, emphasizing the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of karate. There were also sessions in first aid, healthy living and peace-seeking the perfection of character.

The ISKF is thanking all parents who supported the activity and gave assistance to make it a success.
