At a simple presentation ceremony held yesterday, the two companies expressed similar sentiments regarding their affiliation to the organisation that is preparing to host the event for the 20th year in succession, beginning on December 13th at the Guyana National Stadium.

This is the fifth year that the Edward Beharry company is on board with the tournament and according to their merchandising and project manager Anthony Xavier,  they are more than happy to once again be involved.

“It’s a pleasure for us to be part of this tournament once again and we want to congratulate these guys for a job well done and we look forward to working with them again,” Xavier said.

Co-Director Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major noted that Beharry’s sponsorship came at a crucial time for his organisation and thanked them for their contributions over the years, adding that they too are enthusiastic about their partnership in the future.

Meanwhile, over at Auto Fashion which is located at the Guyoil Gas Station on Regent Street, they too noted how happy they are to be onboard and said that while this year their sponsorship is normal, next year they plan to give lavishly with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) being given a car.

Store Manager Rajesh Singh said that “We like the way the tournament is organised and so on and also we gain a lot from it in terms of mileage for our business. But next year we promise to come bigger because we would be giving away a vehicle to the MVP of the tournament, so certainly we will be continuing our sponsorship.”

The company which is preparing to move into their new building located at 34 Seaforth and Campbellville Avenue came in for high praise from Co-Director Kashif Mohammed who noted that he was very  pleased that the car accessories store is part of the event once again.

Mohammed said further that with them giving a vehicle to the MVP next year, they are without a doubt even more excited to have them associated with the tournament.

Meanwhile, 20 teams will be battling for supremacy in the 20th edition of the tournament with the winner taking home $1.2M in cash and prizes.
