A 36-year-old on Saturday afternoon died at 10 miles, Ituni Road after a branch from a tree he was felling broke and hit him on the head, according to a police release.
The release identified the man as Parmanand Mohabir of Belmont, Mahaica whose death the police said occurred at around 3.10 pm on Saturday.
The police investigation has revealed that Mohabir and two other men were felling the tree when the branch fell on him and he was taken to the McKenzie hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
