Nets suffer losses to Melanie Patriots, Ravens in GABA league tournaments

Nets basketball Open and Third Division teams were on the losing end of encounters Sunday night as the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) two-tiered tournaments continued at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

In the first match of the double header Melanie patriots came away with a 66-51 points win while in the Open encounter Ravens flew away to an 85-50 win.

In the first encounter Floyd Arthur led his team to victory with the game-high 22 points while Sylvester Bascomb lent excellent support with 13.

For Nets, Glenroy Adams was their top shooter with 17 points while Ryan Wilson supported with 13.
In the second game Ryan Stephney returned to form pouring in the game-high 19 points.

The support cast of Ryan Gullen, Kevin Lawrence and Rodwell Fortune contributed 14, 12 and 10 points respectively.

For Nets, Adams, who played in both encounters and Drumson Mc Aulay scored 10 points each while Fabian Johnson contributed seven points.

The tournaments continue this evening at the same venue.
