‘Hot Track’ meet set for Sunday

The Joe Vieira Park will come alive this Sunday as the In Excess (INXS) Performance which is headed by Biker ‘Smallie’ hosts their first grass track meet, ‘Hot Track’ which kicks off the motocross season.

This “Pre-Mash Hot Track’ meet will feature the cream of the crop among Guyanese riders from the East Coast of Demerara, Georgetown, Bartica and West Coast of Demerara and so the organizers have doubled the prize monies for this meet.

In the pro events, the victor will walk away with $20,000 while second and third place riders will receive $12,000 and $8,000 respectively while the novices will win $12,000, $8,000 and $6,000 respectively.

The feature event of the day will see the riders racing in a 25-lap event.

The prizes will be the highest given to local riders in recent history. In addition to the on-track action, the Slingerz Family will be providing enough entertainment to keep patrons in the groove for a thrilling display.

The entrance fees at the venue are $1,000 for adults and $500 for children under 12 years old. Digicel, Akbar Auto Sales, Two Brothers Service Station, Pepsi and Stag Beer are among the sponsors of the event.
