Panday wins men’s O-45 singles

The Ming’s Products Veterans Lawn Tennis tournament will conclude this afternoon at Harry Panday’s residence, Bel Air Park.

In matches yesterday, Panday defeated Victor Da Silva 6-1, 6-3 to win the 45 years and over men’s singles title.

This afternoon the men’s 35 years and over singles final will be contested between Andre Lopes and Jainarine (Don) Singh.

Following that match which begins at 5:30pm, there will be the closing ceremony and the presentation of prizes.

In other finals results: Don Singh and Sanjeev Datadin won the men’s 35 years and over doubles

Competition while Omar Persaud and Godfrey Lowden defeated Bobby Khan and Da Silva 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the final of the men’s 45 years and  over doubles while the pair of Mendez/Skeete defeated the combination of St. Charles/George 7-6(7-5),6-2 in the mixed 30/35 doubles final.
