Arrest warrant issued for Benschop over traffic matter

An arrest warrant has been issued for social activist Mark Benschop after he failed to attend court for a traffic violation.

Police said in a press release yesterday that the warrant was issued on November 3 after he failed to attend Georgetown Magistrate’s Court Seven on that day.

Benschop, the release said, has been charged with driving motor pick up GLL 3101 “in respect of which a licence under the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Act was not in force at the time”.
