PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Guyanese forward Shawn Beveney was on target again for Caledonia AIA as they overcame Joe Public Super League club in a thrilling penalty shoot-out, to reach the semi-finals of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation FA Trophy on Friday night. Beveney, who netted a in a mid-week 2-1 league win over FC South End, got on the scoresheet to hand Caledonia a 2-0 lead at the half-time break in the quarter-final at the Marvin Lee Stadium. The 28-year-old opened the scoring in the sixth minute and team-mate Ryan Stewart made it 2-0 three minutes before the interval. Joe Public roared to life in the second-half, however, slicing the lead in half in the 57th minute courtesy of a strike from Dorian Robinson and with the seconds ticking away, got the equaliser through Tyrone Charles, to send the match into extra-time where both teams failed to find the winner.
