A man was badly chopped during an altercation at James Street, Albouystown last night.
Up to press time, Trevor Nero, 44, of James Street was undergoing emergency treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital. He suffered deep chop wounds to his arms, face and head, his brother, Theo, told Stabroek News. The incident occurred at around 11:30 pm and the assailant was arrested by police.
Both his brother and the assailant were drinking at the time, Theo said. Police are investigating.
