Guiness football continues in Linden today

Play in the Guinness Greatest of the Streets fustal football tournament continues this evening in Linden even as four teams advance to the knockout stage of the competition sponsored by Banks DIH Ltd.

Six matches are carded at the New Silver City Tarmac with Hard Watts squaring off with Trainline Warriors, Fire Storm will so battle with Ituni, Coomacka  will tackle Richmond Hill, Hi Stars will come up against Silver bullets, Street Vibes  will take on Star Boys and Ripping Bullets will match skills with Sheriff Squad.

Kickoff is at 18:00 hours.
Cherokee Park, Speightland, Attackers and Goal Getters have already booked their place in the knockout stage following matches last weekend in the mining town.

In the results, Speightland squeezed past South Stars 2-1 and later brushed aside Rough and Rugged 5-2.
Cherokee Park got the better of Vally Warriors 4-1.
Cherokee Park and Pokerburg played to a 0-0 draw.
Attackers and Hard Knocks drew their encounter 1-1 while Hardknocks got the better of Eagles 4-0.
Goal Getters were held to a 1-1 draw by Wisroc and their encounter with Scheme also ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

Hi Stars were also victorious against Street Vibes 3-0, Half Mile/One Mile brushed aside Scheme 2-0.
Thirty two teams registered for the tournament which got off to a flying start two weeks ago.
The final is set for the first week in May.

Close to $1 million in cash and prizes are up for grabs with the winning team set to take home a $400,000 first prize and the championship trophy.
