Man shot during Rose Hall robbery

The police say they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 2030h on Tuesday at Rose Hall, Corentyne, Berbice, during which businesswoman Samantha John, 31 years of Swamp Section, Rose Hall, was attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.

Forty-two toshaos to get spectacles

The Ministry of Health presented the Amerindian Affairs Ministry with 42 prescription glasses for distribution to toshaos who had been diagnosed with vision problems during a screening exercise held for participants in the National Toshaos Council in July.
