A woman collapsed yesterday morning in the Bail Court while court was in session.
The woman was identified as Getta Ramkissoon. According to an eyewitness, the woman was in the courtroom when she collapsed to the floor. The eyewitness said that an attempt to get an ambulance was futile since the telephone line was busy.
A judge who was in his chambers at the time of the incident took the woman to the Georgetown Public Hospital in his vehicle to seek medical attention.
The woman was reported to be frothing from her mouth and was gasping for breath at the time she collapsed.
