A man accused of snatching a gold chain from another man’s neck was remanded when he appeared before Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo on Monday.
The New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court heard that on June 2, around 10:30am, Arlington Lane, 33, of 42 Stanleytown, rode up to Kevin Punswasi, a pedestrian, snatched a gold chain, valued $25,000, from around his neck and rode off.
Lane pleaded not guilty to the charge of larceny from the person.
He was denied bail and ordered to return to court on June 25.
