Twelve ‘in house’ for Ms Guyana Jamzone title

Hits and Jams Entertainment is about ready to elect its representative to the Ms Jamzone International Pageant slated for August – well not quite.

It announced via a press release issued yesterday that the 12 contestants who were first revealed at the Grand Finale of the Feel the Beat Dance Contest last Sunday, will be required to live together for one month and compete in weekly challenges in order to secure the crown.

Yes the reality show bug has firmly taken hold in Guyana as the competition is dubbed the ‘first Queen of the Crown reality show’.
Meanwhile, according to a second press release, 12 Caribbean and Latin American contestants have already been confirmed for the international leg of the pageant.

The 12 locals set to face off the chance to join them are:

 

Tonaina Samaroo

Tonaina Samaroo
Tonaina, 23, is an Accounts Clerk. Last year she copped the Miss Guyana Sari Queen title and is eager to walk away with her next crown. She enjoys reading, surfing the internet and swimming.

 

Pearl Stoll

Pearl Stoll
Pearl, 20, has her heart set on joining the diplomatic service. The Pomeroon resident also enjoys modelling, reading and dancing.

Keenan Erica Pearson
Keenan, 27, is an aspiring psychologist. She enjoys reading, writing, travelling, modelling and is also a part-time designer.

Faydeha King
Fayheda who resides in Berbice, wishes to become a medical doctor and like many of her competitors enjoys modelling, reading and dancing.

Crystal Campbell
Crystal, a 20-year-old resident of North Ruimveldt, “would like to be a social worker”. She enjoys dancing, singing, socializing and is currently pursuing tertiary studies.

Sparkle Denny
Just like her name, Sparkle, 20, believes her personality is radiant. She is a customer service representative who loves meeting new people and socializing. It is her life’s ambition to become a gynaecologist.

Laketa, 23, is proud to represent the mining town, Linden. She loves modelling, playing volleyball, basketball, dancing and reading. Her aspirations include managing her own business or becoming an air-hostess. She is a first year tourism student at the University of Guyana.

Tanya Wilson
Tanya, 19, feels she was “born to teach”. She is a Mahaicony girl who has dedicated her life towards moulding the minds of children. She enjoys reading, dancing, modelling, acting and fishing.

Ayana Harris
Ayana, 23, is also at UG. She won the Miss Guyana Junior pageant at 14; was first runner-up at Guyana Model Search in 2009; and third at Miss Guyana Universe 2011. She enjoys modelling, watching cric-ket and football, cooking and interacting with friends and family via social networks.

This beauty hopes to become a marketing consultant.

Nikita McFarlane
Nikita, 19, lives by the motto, ‘reach for the stars’. This customer service representative has two aspirations either to become an internationally recognized singer or manage her own bank. She is from Linden and enjoys singing, dancing, reading modelling and composing songs and poems.

Teanna Spellen
Teanna, 20, hopes to grace the catwalks of some of the world’s most prestigious fashion events, secure magazine covers and follow in the footsteps of her supermodel idol, Tyra Banks. She hails from Essequibo and enjoys dancing, singing, modelling and travelling.

Kyshna Robertson
Kyshna, 25, would like to become a successful business owner before she is 30. The Meadow Brook Gardens resident loves reading and meeting new, interesting people.
