Adelaide St. teen put on $10,000 bail over pelting stones

A teenager was yesterday granted $10,000 bail on a charge of throwing missiles when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

Russell Noel, 17, of 64 Adelaide Street, Charlestown, denied that on August 23 at Evans Street, Charlestown, he threw stones to the annoyance of Robin Jeffers.

Counsel for the defendant, Euclin Gomes, requested reasonable bail, telling the court that this is a case of bullyism, which is a rising social ill.
The prosecution had no objection to bail and it was set at $10,000.

Noel is required to return to Court One on October 4 for report and fixture.
