Ministry of Home Affairs Inter-County dominoes competition on today in B/ce

Ministry of Home Affairs sixth annual sports programme will take place today at the Police Recreational Hall, New Amsterdam.
Sponsored by Sterling Products and Services limited, the event will be co-ordinated by Ovid Glasgow.

The programme, which includes an inter agencies dominoes competition, will also see competitions in softball cricket and athletics among the  Guyana Police Force, the Guyana Prison Service, the Guyana Fire Service, the Community Policing Organization, Liaison Officers and the Stray Catchers unit.

The dominoes Inter-County dominoes competition will involve team and individual (King) play.
According to Glasgow, a strong Demerara contingent has been named and will comprise Motilall Ram, Jagnandan Persaud, Elroy Richards, Rasheed Mohamed, Shaheed Ramsaywack, Claude Ainsworth, Chadwick Mc Garrel, Colin Chance, Trevor Sawh and Telmano Torres.

The Berbice team will come from Hector, Noel and Trevor Douglas, Dale Prince, William Donald, Stephen Totaram, Glenmore De Abreu and Glenroy Fraser.

On Friday, the Ministry of Home Affairs presented the trophies to coordinator Glasgow in the auditorium of the New Training Facility, Camp and Young Streets. The dominoes competition commences at 9am.

Prizes will be awarded to the winner, first runner up, second runner up and also for the person with the most sixes and first love in the competition.
