Russell’s six wicket haul inspires St.Catherine

KINGSTON, Jamaica,  CMC-West Indies all-rounder André Russell claimed an impressive six wickets for 10 runs in a match winning performance that could carry his Jamaican club into the play-offs of the Jamaica Cricket Association Twenty20 tournament.
Russell, fresh from participating in the champions league Twenty20 in South Africa, inspired St.Catherine to a 129-run win over Boys’ town in the preliminary phase of the tournament over the weekend.

Boys’ Town, set a challenging 162 to win, were dismissed for 32.

St.Catherine who entered the game in a must-win situation, was awaiting the outcome of another match to know whether they have qualified.

Russell was a member of the West Indies cricket team that defeated Sri Lanka to win the ICC Twenty/20 world cup recently.
He arrived in Jamaica on Saturday, after representing the Dehli Daredevils in the Champions League.
