A 35-year-old woman accused of maliciously damaging a television set was yesterday released on $35,000 bail when she appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
It is alleged that on January 20, at Meadow Brook, Carlene Gill unlawfully and maliciously damaged a television set valued $65,000, property of Robert Gill.
Gill who resides at Lot 109 Meadow Brook pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to her by Magistrate Leron Daly.
No facts about what occurred on the day in question were related to the court.
The prosecution had no objection to the defendant being granted her pre-trial liberty.
After listening to submissions, the magistrate granted the defendant’s pre-trial liberty in the sum of $35,000.
The matter continues on February 25.
