Dinnanath wins Carib Foods Stableford golf tourney

Mohanlall “Santo” Dinnanath claimed victory in Carib Foods Stableford Golf tournament played Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Club.

Dinnanauth, a former Guyana Open champion, shot 33 to claim the top prize as he continues to show impressive form so far this season. Colin Ming secured the second position with 32 points while Imran Khan and William Walker finished third and fourth respectively both on 31 points but Khan placed higher with a better back nine score.

Newcomer Kalyen Tiwari was Nearest to the Pin.

The tournament attracted 31 players and Carib Foods Accounts Supervisor Kharishma Narine-Foo said she was pleased with the turnout for the one-day tournament.

Narine-Foo said that her company always supports sport to encourage members of the public to live a healthy lifestyle and this new partnership with the Lusignan Golf Club is another way of offering that support.

LGC President Jerome Khan said that companies like Carib Foods have been in the forefront of contributing to business and social activities in Guyana and their contribution to golf is a testimony to their involvement.

Narine-Foo and Christopher Kadir of Carib Foods made the presentation of prizes to the outstanding players.
