Police say that at about 1615h on Tuesday, miner Robert Grant, 37 years, of Soesdyke, EBD, was involved in an argument over gold with another man at ‘Bruk Up’ Landing, Yarakita, during which he was shot to his legs.
Efforts are being made to get him out for medical attention.
The suspect has not yet been arrested, police say.
