Stewartville Eagles receive championship trophy, medals

Following their victory over Den Amstel in the final of the West Demerara Football Association Trophy Stall U17 tournament winners

Stewartville’s Eagles United FC on Saturday received their trophies and medals during a simple presentation held at the Den Amstel Community Centre Ground.

In a memorable final held a few weeks prior, defending champions Den Amstel were stunned by their lesser favoured opponents who held their nerves during sudden death penalty kicks after regulation time and penalty kicks failed to produce a winner.
