Naresh Jairam, President/Coach of the Three Door Strikers,  had made two requests for uniforms and volleyball equipment as well as financial assistance for the team’s recent Fun Day activity.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the BBCI, Omadat Samaroo, said he decided to donate  24 uniforms to the team members, two volleyballs, one volleyball net and a financial contribution of GY $20,000.

“The BCCI decided to come on board mainly due to the fact that volleyball in Berbice (East and West) has been soaring to a height which is creating a great attraction to a vast number of Berbicians. It was also due to the fact that the Three Door Strikers have been doing outstanding works by creating a pastime for youths keeping them away from drugs, crime and other illicit activities,” he added.

The CEO said that the company will continue to sponsor other events subjected to the availability of funds and was looking at a wider cross section of sports and other charitable and non–charitable endeavors in Guyana.
