The annual Lennie Shuffler male and female senior volleyball tournaments will serve off at the weekend in observance of the stellar contribution of the former national captain and adminstrator.
The tournament will be held at the National Gymnasium and will see the participation of the country’s premier volleyball clubs and players.
The male category will be contested among defending champions Achievers, Eagles, Castrol Strikers, PMTC, Vanguard and Rollers while the defending female champs Vanguard, CBB, Berbice females and Castrol Strikers will clash for the 2020 female title.
The tournaments will be held in partnership with Shuffler and the Guyana Volleyball Federation.
February 5 marked another successful milestone for Shuffler who some 60 odd years ago became actively involved in the sport. During that time, he served as a player, captain, coach, and president of the national federation.
