Guyana U17 female footballers go down 0-4 to Grenada

Guyana concluded their poor showing at the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) women’s U17 World Cup qualifiers in the Dominican Republic on Sunday going down to Grenada by 0-4 in their final group three fixture contested at the Estadio Panamericano in San Cristóbal.

Roneisha Frank led the Grenadians with a double in the 24th and 64th minutes whilst Shikkira Charles and Lakesha Whiteman netted in the 72nd and 93rd minutes respectively to resign Guyana to last in the group.

In their opening group game on August 21, the local side was thrashed by Haiti 19-0. Their second outing on August 23 was met with a similar outcome as they were thumped by the host nation Dominican Republic 17-0.
