Albion U19 team record back-to-back wins

Albion Cricket Club recorded back-to-back wins when the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) in collaboration with Elizabeth Styles Under-19 competition continued recently at the Albion Community Centre Ground.
Albion defeated Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club (RHTYSC)/Pepsi by 39 runs on Friday and Port Mourant by six wickets on Saturday.

Against RHTYSC, Albion batting first scored 151 in 47 overs. National U19 player Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai top scored with 41 while
David Latchya scored 18, Sharaz Ramcharran 17 and Balchan Baldeo 16.

RHTYSC Pepsi and National U-19 skipper Shawn Perreira snapped up 5-26 from 10 overs.

RHTYSC chasing 152 from their allotted 50 overs were never in the hunt as they slipped to 111 all out in 47 overs.
They were unable to recover after being reduced to 13 for 3 inside 12 overs.

Veerapen Permaul claimed 3 for 14 and Baldeo 2 for 25.

On Saturday Albion continued their winning ways against Port Mourant by knocking off their target of 105 in 23 overs.
Winning the toss and batting Port Mourant slumped to 105 all out from 32.3 overs.

Manoj Mangal top scored with 22 while D. Deolall contributed with 14.

Avenash Wajib picked up 4 for 33 from his allotted 10 overs while Latchya supported with 2 for 17.

In reply Albion raced to their target thanks to the efforts of Latchya (37), Sharaz Ramcharran (29) and Baldeo (22).

Veerasammy who took 2 for 8 and Manoj Looknauth 2 for 36 were the most successful bowlers for Port Mourant.
Albion will now take on the winner of Zone D at a date to be announced.
