Mahaica Determinators moved two points within touching distance of league leaders Victoria Kings after defeating Golden Grove Golden Stars by a 1-0 margin when the East Coast Football Association (ECFA) Stag Beer division one league continued on Saturday.
Contested at the Victoria Community ground, Capel Sukram was the difference between the two sides as he fired his side to the vital three points with a 88th minute strike. With the win, Mahaica Determinators leapfrog Buxton United who are on 17 points to take the second spot with 18 points.
Due to the loss, Golden Stars remain on 10 points and occupy the sixth position.
