Richard Ishmael secondary girl stabbed by other student

A 14-year-old student of the Richard Ishmael Secondary was yesterday rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital after she was repeatedly stabbed about her body by another student.

Stabroek News understands that the injured teen, Kiara Parris, was standing outside of the school when another girl approached her with an object and stabbed her several times about her body.

She was stabbed to her face, hands and back.

At the hospital, her father who was with her, said that he was angry that they were not getting any attention and said that they were going to take her to a private hospital.

When contacted last evening, the man said that his daughter had received several stitches and was preparing to give a statement at the Alberttown Police Station.

He said that he was made to understand that the person who stabbed his daughter was another student who would normally bully others.

“The girl is a bully. She de done tell them in the office that she gon juk up somebody. My daughter was walking…the girl came behind and stab my daughter. I think this was a premeditated thing, my child was not a problem child,” he said.
