UG’s winning ways at rugby continue

The University of Guyana and the Guyana Defence Force players caught during yesterday’s Bounty Farm Products 15-a-side rugby final at the National Park Playfield.

The University of Guyana rugby team proved they are no flash in the pan after they defeated the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) rugby team by 48 points to 28 to win the Bounty Farm Products 15-a-side competition organized by the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) yesterday in the National Park.

It was the second tournament win in succession for the university players following their victory in the GDF anniversary tournament recently.

National player Rondell McArthur led the way with three tries while Lance Adonis supported with two tries and for good measure even threw in a conversion.
