Female junior squash team through to final

The Guyana female team marched their way into the final, crushing Jamaica by a 4-1 score line in their semi-final showdown when the 33rd Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) championship continued yesterday in Barbados.

With the win, Guyana will now lock horns with hosts Barbados in the finale today after the latter overcame Trinidad and Tobago by a 3-2 score line in the second semi-final showdown at the same facility.

In their previous fixtures within the group round, Guyana defeated Barbados by a 4-1 margin on Wednesday and edged Bermuda by a 3-2 score line on Tuesday.

Up to press time, the Guyanese men’s team was in the process of playing Jamaica in the semi-final round. The male side sealed their berth to the semi-final round following group wins over Barbados and Bermuda.

Guyana brushed aside Barbados by a 4-1 score line on Wednesday after they overcame the Bermudians by a 3-2 margin on Tuesday.
