A landlord found himself in a city court yesterday charged with wounding his tenant.
Brian Allen, a 48-year-old Sophia minibus driver, was accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Linda Clementson on May 20th, 2015, at her Princes Street home, with the intent to cause her bodily harm.
Allen was not required to plead to the charge.
He was initially placed on $70,000 bail, which was not objected to by the prosecutor. However, after he pleaded with the magistrate to be lenient and consider his limited income as a bus driver, his bail was reduced to $25,000. The matter was adjourned to August 7th.
