West Berbice u-19 All-stars and East Berbice u-19 All-Stars battled to a 2-2 stalemate on Sunday as the Berbice Football Association (BFA) concluded its u-19 tournament at the Burnham Park ground in New Amsterdam.
Akimo Watts gave the Western side of the Ancient County the early lead as he found the back of the net in the 20th minute.
However, the Eastern side would level the score to go into the half time period as Jamal Butts netted compliments of a 41st minute effort.
Matthew Doris then restored the Western All-Stars advantage as he etched his name on the scorer’s sheet. However, the Eastern unit eventually earned a share of the spoils, levelling the score in the 83rd minute in the form of Butts who sealed his double in the process.
Upon the conclusion of the fixture, Mark Wronge of West Berbice was adjudged the player of the match.
