Lambert was accused of discharging a loaded firearm at Quincy Abrams at the North West District, on June 16. He was also accused of wounding Abrams on the same day, with intent to commit murder.

Attorney Nigel Hughes, who represented the defendant at yesterday’s hearing, sought bail for his client noting the defendant’s unblemished record.

The defendant is an expectant father and has a fixed place of abode, Hughes added.

There was no objection to bail by Prosecutor Bharat Mangru and it was set at $200,000 on each charge.

Lambert was also ordered to report to the officer in charge of the Port Kaituma Police Station fortnightly. He will make his next court appearance at the Matthew’s Ridge Magistrate’s Court on June 29.
