John Lewis styles donates $1m to charities

John Lewis Styles celebrated its 12th Anniversary on October 10th 2015 by donating a total of $1m to seven charities, a release from the company said on Friday.
Those that received were the
* Guyana Relief Council
* Guyana Kids First Fund
* NCN Radio’s Needy Children’s Fund
* The Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre
* Roman Catholic Diocese of Georgetown
* The Salvation Army
* Help & Shelter
The company said that despite slower business this year  it values its commitment to these NGO’s and the real benefits of such donations.
It added that the landscaping of the Waterloo Street Avenue between Quamina & Church streets, private garbage collection and the maintenance of street lights are also other ways in which it can continue its corporate social responsibility projects.
