Baramita man rushed to city after being chopped in head

A Baramita, Region One man is currently nursing serious head wounds at the Georgetown Public Hospital after allegedly being chopped by another man during a fight.

Henry John, 40, was medevaced to Georgetown following the attack, which occurred on Wednesday afternoon, when he and his unknown attacker were drinking.

John, whose head was bandaged, told Stabroek News that an argument ensued between the two, which led to a fight and he was chopped to the left side of his head. John said he has no recollection of what the fight was about. He added that although his attacker was also wounded during the altercation, the man managed to flee the scene.
