Warriors 117, 76ers 105
Reserve center Marreese Speights scored 11 of his 17 points during a second-quarter runaway Sunday night, propelling the Golden State Warriors to a 117-105 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in a matchup of the NBA’s winningest and losingest teams.
Klay Thompson recorded his second consecutive 40-point game and Draymond Green had his 12th triple-double of the season as the Warriors (66-7) completed their third consecutive season-series sweep of the 76ers with their 53rd consecutive home-court victory.
Clippers 105, Nuggets 90
DeAndre Jordan had 16 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks in three quarters, and the Los Angeles Clippers used a solid second half to beat the Denver Nuggets 105-90 Sunday at Staples Center.
Jordan, who leads the NBA in field-goal percentage, connected on seven of 10 shots from the floor as the Clippers (45-27) recorded only their second win in the last five games.
Pacers 104, Rockets 101
Paul George scored 25 points, Monta Ellis added 22 and Ian Mahinmi had 19 points and 11 rebounds as the Indiana Pacers held on for a 104-101 victory against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night.
Houston’s Jason Terry had a chance to force overtime, but his 3-point attempt from the right wing was short as time expired.
Kings 133, Mavericks 111
Home is once again a nice place for the Sacramento Kings to be thanks to the Kentucky Connection.
The Dallas Mavericks aren’t feeling nice anywhere.
DeMarcus Cousins produced another double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Willie Cauley-Stein scored 21 points, and the Kings rolled to their second straight rout at Sleep Train Arena with a 133-111 Sunday matinee shellacking of the Dallas Mavericks.
Wizards 101, Lakers 88
John Wall scored 22 points and handed out 13 assists, leading the Washington Wizards to a 101-88 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night at Staples Center.
Marcin Gortat collected 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Wizards, who ended a two-game losing streak. The Wizards (36-37) won for the sixth time in eight contests.
