Pacesetters crushed the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans 101-60 in their u23 matchup when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA)-sanctioned Turbo King of the Ring Hardcourt Championship commenced yesterday at the Burnham Court.
Sharpshooter Nathan Saul led the assault with an outstanding effort of 39 points. On the other side, Kadeem Peterkin scored 17 points while Selvaughn Mosley chipped in with 10 points.
The home side seized the early initiative as they romped to a 24-13 lead at the end of the first period. The trend of the matchup continued in the second stanza as Pacesetters scored 27 points while restricting their foe to 14 points to lead 51-27 at the half.
Pacesetters maintained their advantage heading into the final stanza 75-45 as they outshot their foe 24-18 at the end of the third quarter. With the contest already decided, the hosts netted 26 points to the visitors 15 points.
