Dear Editor,
The acting Police Commissioner must be commended for playing the role of a true commander. The major challenges law enforcement in Guyana is facing are significant, omnipresent and represent a continuous threat from criminals on all fronts.
The Commissioner’s speech will certainly improve citizens’ willingness to cooperate with the police, who are showing respect and dignity; it will bring about strong support for them in the general crime context.
