Dear Editor,
The Ogle incident where persons posed as employees of the Ministry of Health is not singular. It is happening regularly in several communities.
The danger here is that some of these imposters will meet resistance at some point in time and life and limb will be at risk. And persons justifiably defending themselves and their properties will be charged. Bandits have more rights in this country than law-abiding citizens.
My suggestion to residents: Keep the telephone numbers of the police stations nearest to you, and phone numbers of your neighbours and relatives and go on a calling splurge if you feel threatened. And, do not give persons access to your yard without alerting someone nearby.
This is the Guyana we live in today. You never know who is who.
